St. Augustine’s traditional CCD program, better known as G.A.P., is directed by Diana Kessio. This program meets the needs of students, grades pre-kindergarden through High School. The program meets the requirements of the Office of Religious Education and Evangelization of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
The classes are held during the school year — September through May. The weekly classes begin immediately following Sunday’s 8:15 a.m. Mass and ends at 10:30 a.m. The children are immersed in catholic doctrine along with choir and community activities. The teachers set an example for that all the children to follow as they begin their faith journey at St. Augustine’s.
The Parish provides moral and monetary support so that the needs of every student are met. There is no charge for anyone to attend catholic studies at St. Augustine. St. Augustine Parish prides itself that students are gathered from many different schools and social backgrounds to one place for the faith studies in the Catholic Apostolic Church. Anyone is welcome to visit, volunteer, aid, or teach in the classroom at any given time. All teachers meet the requirements of the Archdiocese to work with children, including being fingerprinted and passing a background check.
A Youth Mass is scheduled for the first Sunday of the month, October through May. All youth are involved in the planning and conducting of this Mass. Please come and join in to see our Parish in action. Any questions please feel free to contact Diana Kessio
